NGO Zeybekler 2006

NGO Zeybekler, headed by Metin Hasan, was established in the town of Momchilgrad in 2006. The repertoire of the ensemble is multicolored, including both Balkan and Turkish authentic motifs. The group's activities are related to traditional-style songs and dances. The ensemble includes in its repertoire a wide range of dances, rituals, customs and songs collected from different regions of the Balkans and Anatolia in various styles presented by the dancers and performed with the honey voice of Rositsa Maksimova - Rossi RM. With its active participation, Zeybekler occupies an important place in the cultural life of the Balkans and is one of the most preferred groups in the region. In addition to its participation, the group has 3 won and realized projects named "Children's Ethnic Festival" - Momchilgrad 2007-2009, published the first edition of the book entitled "Springs from The Eastern Rhodopes" and annually performs its artistic music format named "SOLOISTIAD", in 2019 released his first music album of 11 selected Turkish songs performed by the pearl of "MESTANLI ZEYBEKLER" - Rossi. In its 14-year creative way Zeybekler has peformed over 180 times in Bulgaria and countries like Turkey, Greece, Sweden and Macedonia. We are deeply grateful for the sponsorship of all our sponsors!

FROM PTICHAR TO THE TOP OF STRENGTH

This product is a library book belonging to Mestanlı Zeybekler NGO. It is the only sample published in Bulgaria in two versions - Turkish and Bulgarian. We would like to thank our poets who gave poetry! This book is not made for profit. Consent of all participants was received. The book cannot be reprinted without the express approval of the author! The book has been published with the support and contributions of Turkish Consulate General in Plovdiv.

In 2020, the leader of the group - Metin Hassan began sculpting sculptures, inspired by the emergency pandemic situation due to COVID-19. Among his works is the figure of the legendary olympic and world champion in weightlifting and honorary citizen of Momchilgrad - Naim Süleymanoğlu. He donated them to Plovdiv Turkish Consulate General in Bulgaria, as well as to the municipality of Momchilgrad.

Last year MESTANLI ZEYBEKLER celebrated February 21 - The Day of Mother Language in Plovdiv - The European Capital of Culture for 2019. We especially thank for the invitation and sponsorship of Mr. Huseyin Ergani, General Consul of Turkey in Plovdiv, as well as of Senar Bahar and the organizers!
